MiraCosta College, California Offer Solar Training

MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California is offering a special, reduced rate for s solar training course, due to the expected rise in home solar energy system installations in southern California.

Boosted by a special financing offer for household solar installations, there is expected to be a spike in interest from mid July to mid August of this year.

Homeowners in San Diego, Oceanside and a number of other California counties and cities will soon be able to take advantage of several financial initiatives to help with the installation of solar panels.

Many state governments are allowing home owners to pay back loans for solar panels through an annual property tax assessment. Such Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs are gaining in popularity as a way to fund projects in solar energy.

MiraCosta College has a 40 hour solar training program, taught by the solar PV training program Ameriskills.

The school will be offering its solar PV training course at $1,095 per student, which includes all materials, the accompanying lab workshops and preparation for two principal certification programs: one offered by the North American Board of Certified Electrical Practitioners (NABCEP), and the other from the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA).
